If you’re a MassHealth member, understanding your MassHealth Medicare enrollment options is critical. When you’re notified that you’re eligible for Medicare at no cost, you must act quickly to keep your MassHealth benefits and avoid disruptions in care.

Why MassHealth Medicare Enrollment Matters

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people 65 and older and for those under 65 with qualifying disabilities. If you become eligible, MassHealth requires you to enroll in Medicare. Failing to do so could result in the loss of your MassHealth benefits.
