Vitra Health Opens New Boston Office to Expand Community Impact and Caregiver Support

BOSTON, MA – October 2025

With over 13 years of dedicated service to Massachusetts families, Vitra Health is proud to strengthen its longstanding presence in Boston and the surrounding areas through the opening of its new office. This strategic expansion reaffirms the organization’s commitment to advancing access to in-home support services and amplifying its advocacy efforts across the Commonwealth.

As a leading provider of the Adult Foster Care (AFC) program, Vitra Health supports this vital MassHealth service that empowers eligible individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions to live safely at home with a caregiver—an essential alternative to facility-based care. Through this program, caregivers—often family members—receive tax-free payments, ongoing support from a dedicated nurse and care manager, and professional coaching and education. This model ensures families are equipped to provide the very best care for their loved ones, allowing them to remain safely at home.

Strengthening Community Roots

Vitra Health is deeply committed to community well-being, participating in over 200 community events, forming over 70 partnerships, and supporting more than 800 food pantry events this year alone. The organization is a trusted partner in delivering in-home support services, including Adult Foster Care (AFC), Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC), and Adult Day Health programs across Boston and surrounding communities.

“Our teams are driven by the belief that every family deserves dignified, culturally competent, and accessible care,” said Lorena Silva, CEO. “By positioning ourselves in the heart of Boston, we’re deepening our connection with the local community, strengthening partnerships, and expanding our advocacy and legislative efforts.”

Equity and Inclusion at Its Core

Vitra Health’s work is powered by a multilingual, multicultural team, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole speakers, with access to translation services to ensure inclusivity. Over 60% of the organization’s workforce identifies as BIPOC, and its executive leadership is women-led. This diverse team is dedicated to representing the communities it serves and championing policies that allow families to care for loved ones at home.

Among Vitra Health’s policy priorities is legislation to compensate spouses as caregivers, a move the company believes would expand equitable access to care statewide. Read more about the initiative here.

A Strategic Location for Greater Impact

Boston, the state’s largest city and home to a substantial MassHealth population, is a key location for Vitra Health. The new office, located at 745 Boylston Street, Suite 400, Boston, MA 02116, will position the organization to:

  • Collaborate more closely with local healthcare and community partners
  • Influence legislative progress that benefits caregivers and clients
  • Expand access to high-quality, respectful home care for underserved residents
